A Good Birth and My Philosophy

A Good Birth is a birth that you feel good about, a birth that you own, and one that lets you move forward into motherhood.

A Good Birth is not tied to a specific birthing method like natural or epidural or c-section. It’s also not dependent on the perfect realization of a birth plan (although it is wonderful when that happens).

A Good Birth is an experience of connectedness, of ownership, and ultimately of empowerment and I believe that every woman has a right to have a Good Birth.

It is my mission to guide and protect each couple in this process of becoming parents and in welcoming your baby into an environment of love and belonging.

A Good Birth is possible when there is:

Love – Care – Emotional Support

When a woman and her partner are feeling safe and are surrounded by loving help, the process of giving birth is free to flow. I am dedicated to maintaining an environment of continuous gentle attention and caring support.

Respect – Honor

Every couple brings their own hopes, wishes, dreams and fears into a birth and it is my belief that they all deserve to be honored and treated with complete respect for their uniqueness.

Information – Knowledge

Information gives knowledge and knowledge is empowerment. It is my priority to provide every couple with as much information as possible to help them in staying connected and maintaining a sense of control throughout pregnancy and the process of giving birth.
